McHale History
McHale & Associates,
Inc. was formed in 1995 by Pat McHale and Mike McHale from
their experience providing power plant performance
testing services for Raytheon Engineers & Constructors,
Inc. and it's predecessor, Ebasco Services, Inc. for over 30
years.
Plant testing has
been a large part of the company’s work.
McHale has tested over 50,000 MW of power plants around the
world. Our clients include independent power producers, architect
engineer
constructors, utilities, industrial power users, and O&M
providers.
Our success comes from our experience in startup,
test and operations
for gas, fossil (coal, heavy oil, and distillate), renewable
fuel, hydroelectric, geothermal, and wind power plants.
Through
years of testing we developed a modular approach for testing
to quickly customize test models to specific project
requirements.
We have reduced the time it takes to develop test calculations
and test procedures to keep our services very cost effective.
Our
work with thermal performance audits, component testing, and
overall performance testing has lead to development of
computerized
on-line plant performance monitoring systems and economic
optimization packages. Our startup and operations background
combined with
performance improvement expertise has helped us develop
systems that plant
engineers and operators can use to improve and monitor
plant performance.
Market trends led us to a lot of plant acceptance
testing and work with a lot of great people. Through these
experiences we have developed
new services to help our clients. We offer instrumentation
rental as a complete package that includes data acquisition.
These are
systems that we work with and are field tested.

focus is on plant improvement. In a highly competitive power
